Reorganisation is good for the cerebrum

I’ve just finished re-processing the entire collection of photographs on my online portfolio, because I want to completely re-organise it so that it makes more sense when browsing.

Heres one of the new (old) images! Based on “Lilly of the Lake” by Hana Pestle, for the first project I had here at UCF

Starfish and the Smoke Machine

Hello!

Today has been one of those days where everything is just spectacular. First warm & sunny day of the year (also the first frosty one…oddly) so I went down to Falmouth town. Picked up some excellent photography/art books in a charity shop, bought some flowers for tomorrows shoot and read a bit of Patti Smith on the end of the pier watching the boats go by. Had a little wander down the stairs at the side, down to sea level, and there were hundreds of huge starfish hiding among the columns!

Falmouth definitely wins the “most beautiful location for a university” award.

Also i’ve taken playing piano in the theatre to the next level… #geek

 

Hairography

Are those tights around the lens? Yes.

Going back into the studio tomorrow for some self-portraits, so I’ll share those with you soon, but in the meantime heres a roll I shot quickly last night using one Dedolight with barn doors, and black tights around the lens to create soft focus, like that used in the Golden Era of Hollywood to photograph the likes of Garbo
